chlorine-free papers

Chlorine-free papers are not about the possible chlorine content, but it refers to the bleaching process during pulp production.

Chlorine-free papers are those whose fiber bleaching reduces wastewater pollution. The pulp used is bleached without chlorine gas, but with chlorine dioxide. In addition, prebleaching is often carried out in an environmentally friendly manner, e.g. with hydrogen peroxide.
