wire section

The wire section of a fourdrinier paper machine consists of the headbox, various dewatering elements such as vacuum suckers and, if necessary, a dandy roll. After dilution and screening of the pulp suspension in the approach flow system, the suspension must now be fed uniformly in web width to the sheet forming section (the wire section). This is the task of the headbox. The dewatering elements are used to remove the suspension water.
