Salzer Papier is a leading manufacturer and supplier of high-quality book wove paper. In St. Pölten in Lower Austria paper is produced for centuries and for decades has been specialised in the production of wood-free book wove paper for high-quality hardcover books and premium paperbacks. Completely wood-free, without the use of pulp from forest wood and non-yellowing .

Since 2009, Salzer Papier also provides with a partner wood-containing printing paper for the fast moving soft-cover segment.

News: We are saving Energy and CO2! Investment project released - August 2011
Increasing Energy efficiency and optimising internal processes Salzer Paper released a big Investment project. Our Target is to significantly reduce the specific energy consumption (per ton of paper) whereby electricity shall be reduced by 10% and steam by 15%. Due to optimised water loops fibre losses are already reduced towards zero.
The whole program comprises various aspects of paper making and the logistics. Beside energy savings and process optimisation it will also increase the production capacity.

News: New Pulper Feed Line - June 2011
By June 2011 a new de-wiring and Pulper feed unit, both from FMW, went online. Together with a new discharging pump the whole pulping section got maximised, in capacity as efficiency.

News: New Voith LSC Online QCS in operation - January 2011
In January 2011 a new Quality Controll System at the paper machine was put into operation. The replacement of the old Measurex System should allow a much better real-time quality check of the papers and further quality improvements of the woodfree papers from the factory in Stattersdorf.
