The traditional paper manifacture

Since 1579 paper was manufactured in St. P├Âlten Stattersdorf (in Lower Austria) where the paper mill still is located today. At the end of the 18th century (1798) the Kaspar Salzer acquired the paper mill. Until today the paper mill is owned by the Salzer family via Salzer Holding GmbH.

In St. P├Âlten Stattersdorf the 100% wood-free bulky paper is manufactured which is mainly used for high quality books (hard-cover and premium soft-cover) as well as high quality woodfree design papers.

Our paper specialities are suitable for all printing techniques, on demand we can supply paper qualities opimized for digital book printing.
